The small screen will see Jang Hyuk (Bloody Heart) and Jang Na-ra (Sell Your Haunted House) reunite once again! tvN’s upcoming drama “Family” will feature Jang Hyuk, Jang Na-ra, Chae Jung-an (Monthly Home Magazine), and Kim Nam-hee (Reborn Rich) in leading roles.
“Family” is a comedy spy family drama that follows the story of a National Intelligence Service (NIS) black agent, Kwon Do-hoon, who is undercover as an ordinary office worker. His wife, Kang Yu-ra, dreams of having a perfect family, and the drama will explore the couple’s journey to achieve this goal.
In the drama, Jang Hyuk will play the role of Kwon Do-hoon, an NIS black agent disguised as a trading company employee, and Kang Yu-ra’s husband. Despite being a veteran sniper with exceptional shooting skills, Kwon Do-hoon can sometimes neglect his family due to his work. However, he loves his wife more than anyone else.
Jang Na-ra will portray Kang Yu-ra, Kwon Do-hoon’s wife and a housekeeping expert who is determined to protect the perfect family that she has built. Though she appears lovable, she harbors a secret.
This will be Jang Hyuk and Jang Na-ra’s fourth project together, following “Success Story of a Bright Girl” in 2002, “Fated to Love You” in 2014, and the 2014 MBC Drama Festival “Old Goodbye.”
Chae Jung-an will play the role of Oh Chun-ryun, Kwon Do-hoon’s marksman and professional NIS operator. Despite appearing to live an extravagant single life, she is a lonely woman who has been divorced three times. She tries her best to help Kwon Do-hoon keep his family together, unlike herself.
Kim Nam-hee will play Tae Goo, a suspicious and unwelcome guest who visits Kwon Do-hoon and Kang Yu-ra’s family. Tae Goo is impulsive and enjoys proving himself through his work and indulging in the pleasures of life. He comes to shake up the life of Kang Yu-ra, who was like a ray of light in his past.
The show is being produced by CP Jang Jung-do (Alchemy of Souls).
“Family” is scheduled to premiere in April, and fans are eagerly waiting for the comedy spy family drama to hit the small screen.
