Honey Lee (One The Woman) and Lee Jong-won (Golden Spoon) are set to star in the upcoming MBC historical drama “Flower That Blooms at Night” (literal title).
Flower That Blooms at Night is a sageuk (historical drama) with a comedic and investigative twist that follows Jo Yeo-hwa’s unexpected encounter with Park Soo-ho, which leads to a drastic change in his life.
Honey Lee will take on the lead female role of Jo Yeo-hwa, a widow with a secret double life. Lee Jong-won will play the role of Park Soo-ho, a skilled subordinate officer of the geumwiyoung military camp in the Joseon Dynasty.
The drama is the latest project by PD Jang Tae-yoo (My Love from the Star, Lovers of the Red Sky).
It is aiming to broadcast in the second half of 2023, and production is currently underway.
