Im Siwan (Summer Strike) and Lee Sun-bin (Work Later, Drink Now 2) are in discussions to take on lead roles in the upcoming drama “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon” (working title).
On April 25, JTBC reported that Im Siwan had received an offer to star in the drama. His agency, Plum A&C, confirmed that Im Siwan is currently reviewing the offer.
The drama is set in the mid-to-late 1980s and revolves around students at an agricultural high school in Chungcheong Province. Im Siwan has been offered the role of Jang Byung-tae, a weak and marginalized student from Onyang who transfers to Buyeo Agricultural High School. His life takes an unexpected turn when he encounters a significant incident.
Meanwhile, Lee Sun-bin is also reportedly considering a role in the drama. The character description has yet to be revealed as of writing.
Director Lee Myung Woo (The Fiery Priest, Backstreet Rookie) will be overseeing the production.
