If you are a fan of the Reply Series franchise, then you are also probably on the lookout for its brilliant PD’s upcoming projects. PD Shin Won-ho’s latest drama Prison Playbook has found its lead actors. Jung Kyung-ho (Missing 9, One More Happy Ending) has been confirmed in a starring role opposite stage actor Park Hae-soo (Legend of the Blue Sea).
This black comedy drama will be about the lives of inmates in prison. Dramabeans stated that the upcoming series will “tell the everyday stories of prisoners, and is a lighthearted human drama rather than a crime thriller, promising dark humor and pathos.”
Confirmed supporting cast includes Lee Kyu-hyung (The Lonely Shining Goblin, Hwarang), Choi Moo-sung (Weightlifting Fairy, Reply 1988), Kim Sung-chul (Romeo and Juliet musical), and Kim Joon-bae (Rebel: Thief Who Stole the People, Oh My Geum-bi).
Prison Playbook will be aired on tvN’s Wednesday-Thursday slot in October.
