Kim Soo-hyun books small screen comeback via tvN’s “Psycho But It’s Okay”

Following the release of tvN’s mega teaser for their 2020 line-up, the cable channel has finally confirmed that Kim Soo-hyun will lead its upcoming romance drama “Psycho But It’s Okay” (working title). This will mark the actor’s first drama since The Producers in 2015 and after his military discharge in 2017.

Psycho But It’s Okay” is a healing romance drama about a community health worker who is too busy to fall in love and a children’s book writer who does not know how to love. Moon Kang-tae (to be played by Kim Soo-hyun) is a caregiver at a psychiatric ward. After losing both his parents at a young age, he became the family’s breadwinner and since then, he has been taking care of his older brother who has autism. He will eventually meet a children’s book writer, an arrogant and selfish woman with an antisocial personality disorder.

The drama is directed by Park Shin-woo (Encounter, Jealousy Incarnate) and written by scriptwriter Jo Yong (Jugglers). Seo Ye-ji (Lawless Lawyer) is currently being courted to portray the female lead.

No specific broadcast schedule has been announced yet, but it aims to air in the first half of the year.
