Gong Yoo (The Silent Sea) and Seo Hyun-jin (Why Her?) have been officially confirmed to headline the upcoming Netflix drama “The Trunk.”
The Trunk is a drama based on a popular novel that tells the story of NM, a matchmaking organization that helps people find their ideal spouse through contract-based marriages.
Seo Hyun-jin will portray the character Noh In-ji, NM’s deputy head who opts to remain single despite her job revolving around marriage arrangements.
Gong Yoo will step into the shoes of Han Jeong-won, a music producer whose first marriage ends in failure, leading him to an unexpected marriage contract with In-ji through NM. The plot takes an intriguing turn when a mysterious trunk is discovered in a lake, unveiling secrets surrounding the matchmaking service.
The show is directed by Kim Gyu-tae (Our Blues, Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo, It’s Okay, That’s Love, Live) and written by Park Eun-young (Hwarang).
