Cable channel tvN’s newest offering “Black Dog” (tentative title) has confirmed Seo Hyun-jin (The Beauty Inside), Ra Mi-ran (Rude Miss Young-ae), and Ha Joon (Arthdal Chronicles) as its lead casts.
The upcoming Monday-Tuesday drama will revolve around the lives of private school teachers, using the school set-up as a microcosm of what’s happening in society.
Seo Hyun-jin is set to appear as Go Ha-neul, a newly-hired teaching personnel in a private school, who deeply cares for her students. She decided to enter the academe because of the influence of one of her own teachers who saved her life.
Ra Mi-Ran takes on the role of Park Sung-soo, the head guidance counselor of the same private school. A dedicated and passionate educator who also fights for her students, she will be Go Ha-neul’s friend and mentor in the field.
Lastly, Ha Joon will portray the Korean language teacher Do Yeon-woo, an idealist who loves his job and values talent over any office politics.
The drama will be directed by PD Hwang Joon-hyuk (Bad Guys: City of Evil, Police Unit 38) and will be written by Park Joo-yeon.
Black Dog will take over tvN’s Monday and Tuesday 21:30 time slot starting December 16.
