Park Min-young (When the Weather is Fine), Song Kang (Nevertheless), Yoon Park (You Are My Spring), and Girl’s Day Yura (Find Me in Your Memory) are cast in JTBC workplace drama “Office Romance Cruelty” (literal title).
The drama will revolve around the daily lives of employees at the Korea Meteorological Administration. Park Min-young leads the cast as the weather forecaster Jin Ha-kyung, who is stationed at the General Forecast 2 Division. She knows her boundaries and tries to have a work-life balance. But because of this, she doesn’t have really close friends at work.
Song Kang will play the free-spirited Lee Shi-woo, another employee under the General Forecast 2 Division, but he works with weather alerts. He’s got an IQ of 150 yet he still appears clumsy and only cares about the day’s weather.
Yoon Park takes on the role of Han Ki-Joon, a persuasive and sharp weather forecaster who got scouted into the agency. He has been a model worker all his life making it hard for him to deal with failures.
Yura is cast for the role of Chae Yoo-jin, a weather reporter for a daily newspaper. She used to dream of entering the media industry because of the challenging life of telling breaking stories and inside scoops, but got disappointed when she is assigned to the Weather and Lifestyle Team.
Office Romance Cruelty will be helmed by director Cha Young-hoon (When the Camellia Blooms, Are You Human Too?) and the script will be written by Sun Young.
The drama has already started filming and aims to premiere in the first half of 2022.
