Jeon Do-yeon (Lost) and Jung Kyung-ho (Hospital Playlist) are confirmed to star in tvN’s newest drama “One-Shot Scandal” (literal title).
One-Shot Scandal will focus on the warm but frigid, charming yet exciting tale of those who must contend with the admission tests’ relentless competition. The drama centers on a bittersweet controversy involving a great teacher in Korea’s top private school and an owner of a side dish shop who joins the realm of admission examinations late.
Jeon Do-yeon will portray the character of Nam Haeng-sun, a former national athlete who joins the competitive education market late to take entrance examinations. She also leads the National Representative Side Dish Shop. Despite being worn out from life, Nam Haeng Sun is a strong character who holds fast to her convictions and refuses to make an effort to justify her decisions. However, after reluctantly entering the private education industry, she unpredictably keeps becoming involved with Choi Chi-yeol.
Jung Kyung-ho will play the famous and rich instructor Choi Chi-yeol, who was born a genius and even has a hard-working personality. Aside from having exceptional skills, he is also a superb talker with excessive theatrics. He has grown prickly and indifferent among other people as a hefty cost of fame, which prevents him from unwinding for even a second. After meeting the insatiably happy and energized Nam Haeng-sun, the two will interact in a delightful and captivating tale.
The drama will be helmed by director Yoo Jae-won (Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha) while the script will be written by Yang Hee-seung (Once Again, Familiar Wife). This will be the third joint project of the two following King of High School and Oh My Ghostess.
One-Shot Scandal will air in 2023.
