Song Joong-ki (Arthdal Chronicles), Jeon Yeo-been (Be Melodramatic), and 2PM’s Ok Taecyeon (The Game Towards Zero) are all confirmed to lead the upcoming tvN dark comedy “Vincenzo” (working title).
Song Joong-ki plays the titular role as the cold-blooded lawyer Vincenzo Cassano, a Korean who got adopted in Italy and grew up to become an advisor to a mafia organization. He moves back to Korea after a conflict broke out in the mafia.
Jeon Yeo-been signs on the role of Hong Cha-young, a top lawyer from the Wusang Law Firm. She will get involved with Vicenzo Cassano in solving a massive cartel case. Lastly, Taecyeon joins the cast as the law intern Jang Jung-woo, a carefree hoobae at Wusang Law Firm where Hong Cha-young works.
The production of the drama will be led by PD Kim Hee-won (The Crowned Clown, Money Flower) and screenwriter Park Jae-bum (The Fiery Priest).
News reports also cited Yang Kyung-won, Kim Yeo-jin, and Kwak Dong-yeon joining the cast. The script reading was already held last August 9.
“Vincenzo” is scheduled to premiere in the first half of 2021.
