Rain (Welcome 2 Life), Kim Bum (Law School), and Son Na-eun (Dinner Mate) are all confirmed for the upcoming fantasy medical drama “Ghost Doctor” (literal title).
Rain will star as the thoracic surgeon Cha Young-min, an arrogant and selfish thoracic surgeon whose spirit will possess another person’s body due to an unexpected incident. This body will be Kim Bum’s character Go Seung-tak, a smart resident who is born to a wealthy background. The drama revolves around the experience of these two doctors, whose skills and personalities are complete opposites,
Apink’s Son Na-eun signs on for the role of emergency room intern Oh Soo-jung, a believer in the supernatural despite studying medicine. She wants to become a thoracic surgeon because of a secret agenda despite the objection of her family.
Ghost Doctor will be directed by Boo Sung-chul (Heirs, Our Gap Soon) and the script will be written by Kim Sun-soo (Live Up to Your Name).
Earlier reports state that UEE is currently in talks to play the another female lead role.
The drama has yet to find a broadcast network as of writing, and is being produced by Bon Factory (Encounter, Master’s Sun, She Was Pretty, What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim).
