Ahn Jae-hyun (Reunited Worlds) and Lee Da-hee (Mystery Queen 2) are now confirmed to join Seo Hyun-jin (Temperature of Love) and Lee Min-ki (Because This is My First Life) as the main leads of the upcoming JTBC drama adaptation of The Beauty Inside.
The drama will be loosely based on the hit 2015 romantic comedy film of the same name which starred Han Hyo-joo. The drama version revolves around the love story of Han Se-gye (to be played by Seo Hyun-jin), an A-list actress who must spend one week out of each month living in someone else’s body, and Seo Do-jae (to be played by Lee Min-ki), an airline executive who has the inability to recognize other people’s faces.
Lee Da-hee is set to play as Lee Min-ki’s beautiful and intelligent half-sister Kang Sa-ra. She will eventually learn about Han Se-gye’s secret, but falls deeply in love with Se-gye’s goody two shoes friend, Ryu Eun-ho (to played by Ahn Jae-hyun). Meanwhile, Ahn Jae-hyun’s Eun-ho would be the second lead who’s set to capture our hearts with his calm and good-natured personality. He dreams of becoming a priest, protects Se-gye’s secret, and deals with Sa-ra’s wicked plans.
The Beauty Inside also reunites Seo Hyun-jin and PD Song Hyun-wook, who previously worked together on the hit tvN drama Another Oh Hae Young. It is scheduled to air after the conclusion of Life.
